This is the most dramatic abseil of its kind in the world. The descent takes around 10-15 minutes, it's truly awesome! Once down, walk and climb through cathedral-sized vaults to view golden stalactites, waterfalls and iridescent glow worms. See fossil oysters and ancient whalebones as you make your way slowly back to the surface. Emerge a couple of hours later and continue on to Auckland.
