The 6,414 metre, par 72 course was the first course designed with the tourist in mind.

The Hawkes Bay covers an extensive area, taking in fertile plains and rolling hills, a broad sweep of spectacular coastline and the dominant Te Mata Peak. There is a weatlh of gourmet treats to be discovered in this region along with the wine, food and art trails that weave their way through Napier, Hastings and Havelock North.
Accommodation (3 nights) in a double/twin room including breakfast at:
Cardoness Lodge, Hastings
Day 10 - Hawkes Bay
Today enjoy a complimentary round of golf at Hastings Golf Club. The Hastings club known as Bridge Pa is a 6,257 metre, par 72 course. This club was founded in 1898.
This afternoon we suggest visiting some of the wineries in the area known as the Gimblett Gravels. Wineries not be missed are Te Awa Winery, Sileni Estates, Ngatarawa Wines and Trinity Hill
Day 11 - Hawkes Bay
Today take the opportunity of playing golf at Cape Kidnappers, which was laid out in 2004 by architect Tom Doak. The long 6,525 metre par 72 course is set high above the coast on broad terraces that slope down to the edge of 130 metre cliffs. Cape Kidnappers plays across the ridge and valley landscape, to and from the cliff edge. Given the terrain there is a compelling need to be long and straight off the tees.
This afternoon we would recommend visit Cape Kidnappers, home to the one of the largest most accessible mainland gannet colonies in the world. You can take either a tour by vintage tractor along the beach at high tide or overland by 4WD across farmland.
