Day 12 - Awaroa to Blenheim

This morning you will be transferred by water taxi to Marahau. Drive, to Blenheim via Richmond, Nelson and the Rai Valley (approx. 2.5 hrs).
Blenheim is the centre of the Marlborough viticultural region it has the reputation of producing some of the finest wines in New Zealand and the world, particularly sauvignon blanc.
We suggest a late lunch at the Mussel Pot in Havelock where they serve the green-shell mussels, one of the Marlborough region’s finest exports. Explore some of the award winning wineries in the area.

Day 13 - Blenheim to Christchurch
Overnight: The Worchestor
Meals: Breakfast
Drive down the scenic coastal route, which hugs the Pacific Ocean, to Kaikoura (approx. 2 hrs).
Here, where the mountains meet the sea, you will find one of the leading eco-tourism destinations in the country. The name Kaikoura means ‘meal of crayfish’ and reflects the importance of the sea. The first European settlers were whalers, arriving in 1842.
You can take the opportunity of whale watching by either helicopter, fixed wing aircraft or boat.
Continue on to Christchurch via the Waipara Valley (approx. 2.5 hrs).
